Vote? Or Not?

Let’s see, my choices are one group who wants to take more of my hard-earned money or another group who wants to tell me how I can spend what’s left of my money. Hmmmmm, the lesser of two evils. Hmmmm, that’s still a vote for evil, isn’t it? Sorry, but there’s enough wickedness in the world without my vote giving tacit validation to those choices.

What? I can’t complain if I don’t vote?! If you’re walking down a street and a mugger gives you the choice of being shot or stabbed, you’ve got every right to complain about your injuries when you pick neither. Of course, an election is different than a mugging. There’s a lot more smiling and deception involved. Still, if you vote, knowing full well the consequences that will be unleashed on the lives and property of everyone, you the one who can’t complain now, can you…

Hello Suz! Yes, you are very correct. I like Nevada’s third choice on its ballot, “None of the Above”. In fact, the way things are going this year, I think I could win the Nevada delegates if I change my name to “None of the Above”. Mr. Above has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Although it might confuse my girlfriend. “What kind of sex are we having?” “None.” “Oh, that again …”

  • I plan to vote but not for any main party. I think it will be a bit but I bet the American people will get sick of this two party system and we will start seeing real candidates. Vote third party to tell them you don’t care about them.

Hello P.A.C.R. As I look through the history of American politics, it seems that nothing will change as long as people believe in the undeliverable promises from the two parties — basically, something for nothing — two chickens in the pot, a car in every garage, free money taken from those dirty rich folk.

Go ahead and write my name on your ballot. I promise I won’t take what I haven’t earn or give what I haven’t got.
