You Won’t See This Used In America to Control Speeders

I’ve seen lots of different techniques to try and control those drivers smitten with a need-to-speed. Lately, I’ve noticed several vacant cop cars parked on traffic island and off the side of the road to scare us into checking our odometers. But the best solution that I’ve learned about is Denmark’s use of topless women holding speed limits signs. Gotta love those, Danes! You certainly won’t find this effective technique here in the States. We’re trying to prevent accidents, not cause them. :D

My hubby said he might not notice the sign! I said dh probably would have a wreck!

Thank goodness they don’t have men directing traffic in the nude! Rush hour would be unBAREable!
    ;)

Is this for real? You know what they do sometimes in small towns is put a silhouette of police with a radar gun by the side of the road.

Stopping by for Click & Comment Monday.

funny. i wonder if the accident rate has gone up. and they say they are the “world’s best”… if they do this other places, i have never heard of it!

Karen: I guess this would give new meaning to the old excuse “Sorry I’m late but some boob was holding up traffic.”

GG: ::: groan ::: Of course, such men could direct traffic AND point out directions (weather permitting, of course)…

CyberCelt: I’ve seen those silhouettes before. The best one was in front of a Donut shop. I don’t know if the silhouette was to deter speeders or act as a placeholder for the cop.

Suni: I understand Saudi Arabia is considering something similar. They might allow a few of their burka clad beauties to hold up speed limit signs while exposing a wrist.

You are such a bad boy! :P … directions would be really screwed up then … LOL!
